PRP or platelet rich plasma, uses your own blood cells

to help heal itself. They stimulate tissue regeneration and

healing in the treated area.

 

After taking a blood sample and running it through a centrifuge,

the separated plasma can be injected into the area to be treated.

PRP is used at DerMedical Esthetics for hair rejuvenation and skin rejuvenation. Hair rejuvenation uses PRP injected into the scalp to boost the production and stimulate the hair follicle. This is commonly used for receding hairlines, male pattern baldness and thinning hair. It can also boost stimulation of transplants.

PRP Skin rejuvenation is injected into the skin, causing platelets to breakdown and release their growth factors which cause the natural processed of cell proliferation and tissue renewal. 

Some soreness and bruising may appear after a few days. Full effects of the treatment can be seen after 6 months, repeated treatments are typically required for some PRP areas.

The "Vampire Facial" uses PRP to boost collagen production and elastin production, leaving a more supple complexion, while making the skin appear tighter and smoother. The vampire facial can help reduce the appearance of scars, boost cell production, helps reduce hyperpigmentation by decreasing melanin production, and evening out skin tone. It is paired with micro needling, or can be used with Morpheus8, which is highly effective on fine lines and wrinkles, high levels of sun damage, and dark circles.
