Deedee Oliver
Owner - MN-NP Medical Director
DeeDee graduated from St. Clare’s School of Nursing in 1991 with a RN diploma. She graduated from the Centre of Continuing Nursing Studies in 1997 as a Registered Nurse First Assistant in Cardiac Surgery. She worked as an operating room nurse for 18 years. In 2015 DeeDee graduated from Memorial University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Her motivation and pursuit of continuing education in the nursing profession saw her graduate in 2018 with a Master’s in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner.
Always looking for advancement in education and new opportunities DeeDee pursued medical esthetics, graduating as certified Injector of Neuromodulars and Hyaluronic Acid. She has continued to build on her esthetics knowledge and skills, keeping current with continued training and education in the ever changing and advancing esthetics industry resulting in beautiful and natural results.
DeeDee currently practices in primary care and medical aesthetics. Her passion for medical esthetics, client empowerment, safety and accessibility, has motivated DeeDee to become the primary injector and owner of DerMedical Esthetics, where she is passionate about helping others to look and feel their best through medical aesthetics.
Nicole O'Connor
Nurse Injector - RN, BScN
Nicole graduated from St Francis Xavier University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011. She worked in a rural community hospital in Labrador City before moving back to Halifax, where she worked in a busy medical unit. While on maternity leave with her first child, she completed the Critical Care Nursing Program with the RN Professional Development Centre. She worked in ICU/CCU for seven years before taking the opportunity to travel to Nunavut as a Community Health Nurse. In 2021 Nicole made her way back to Critical Care in Halifax and had been working in both ICU and PACU ever since.
Pursuing a career in medical aesthetics has been a long-time dream, and in 2021 she completed the Nurse Injector Course from THMA Consulting Inc. Nicole is currently working part-time at DerMedical Esthetics Inc. as a Nurse Injector. She provides quality care to her clients. Delivering top-tier results is her goal.
Kaela Aitkens
Licensed Medical Esthetician
Kaela is a licensed medical esthetician offering various esthetics services including laser hair removal, chemical peels, dermaplaning, brow wax and tint, classic lashes, lash lift and tint, facials & more!
Kaela is passionate about the esthetics industry and loves to help people feel beautiful, refreshed and comfortable in every way. As a child Kaela fell in love with skincare and the beauty industry. She loves learning new things and is motivated to provide her clients with awesome results.
Kaela is proud to call Dartmouth NS home, and to offer her services locally. She is very passionate in what she does and is excited to assist her clients on their esthetics journey.
Kaitlyn Pratt
Nurse Injector - RN, BScN
Kaitlyn graduated from St. Francis Xavier University with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2019. She worked on a busy Medical and Surgical unit before switching to the emergency deparment.
Kaitlyn always had a keen interest in skin care and cosmetic nursing. She followed that interest by completing the Neuromodulator and Hyaluronic Acid Injector course.
Kaitlyn is enthusiastic about her career as a nurse injector. Attention to detail and collaboration coupled with safe and knowledgable advice ensures her clients get optimal and natural results.
Lisa Bowers
Nurse Injector - LPN
Lisa Bowers is a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse with over eight years of experience in cardiac medicine. A graduate of the Waterfront Campus (2014), she has built a reputation for her compassionate care, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to her patients’ well-being. In 2024, Lisa expanded her expertise by becoming a Certified Neuromodulator, reflecting her passion for continuous learning and excellence in her field.
Beyond her professional life, Lisa is a proud wife and mother of four, skillfully balancing her demanding career with the joys and responsibilities of family life. She thrives on the challenge of making time for her passions—whether it’s hitting the gym, whipping up delicious meals in the kitchen, or pursuing entrepreneurial ventures in her rare moments of free time.
Known for her people-savvy nature and perfectionist streak, Lisa brings a unique blend of warmth, dedication, and precision to everything she does. Her ability to connect with people on a personal level, combined with her meticulous approach to her work, makes her a trusted and beloved figure both at home and in the healthcare community.
