Post-Treatment Care Tips and Results

Immediately after treatment, continue your normal activities but anticipate carbon crusting. Avoid exercise, heat, and steam for 3-4 days to minimize inflammation. Gently cleanse your skin twice daily using the post-treatment kit and keep it moisturized with Aquaphor. Take oral Vitamin C to aid healing and apply mineral sunscreen three times a day. Use cool compresses wrapped in a clean cloth for swelling relief, especially around the eyes, but avoid anti-inflammatories as they can interfere with the healing process.

In the following days, it's normal for the area to feel tight and dry. Let carbon crusts fall off naturally and avoid rubbing or exfoliating to prevent scarring. Cleanse the area gently with lukewarm water and continue keeping the skin hydrated. Steer clear of hot showers, shaving, and contact lenses until fully healed. If you notice any signs of infection, contact your provider immediately.

As your skin heals over the next few months, it will appear pink and sensitive. Apply SPF 30+ diligently to protect against hyperpigmentation. Avoid direct sun exposure, saunas, smoking, and alcohol to support recovery. You can resume your regular skincare routine once the crusts have fallen off, but avoid exfoliating ingredients.
